I had to quickly make a birthday card for my niece today. Took me about ten minutes to make these 2 1/4 A4 sized cards decorated with scraps of gift wrappers. I happen to have a set of alphabet stamps and fingers stamp pads so I used them to write the greetings. Just some idea, we could also use scraps of magazine pages that have pretty patterns or interesting colors and instead of using stamps we could print on the white cards or even hand-write them :)
